Welcome from Jannice May
Thank you for your many kind notes and e-mails about enjoying the Connecting and Bonding 20th Anniversary Conference celebration. When I think back to the lady who asked me for help twenty years ago, I still can’t believe how quickly the time has passed. Yet, here we are!
I am very happy to see how much this ministry has helped us.Through the years, we have been privileged to hear from wonderful speakers. Many I could never afford to pay their normal fees, but by God’s grace, they spoke at our conferences and inspired us with their spiritual understanding and insight.Of course, we all know how much Kathleen Hart and her family’s involvement through mentoring and support has blessed our group. Naomi Bread was another one who walked by our side, teaching us to “clap and move” together. I really miss her.
We began our 21st year with our Lexington, KY, Conference in March. We were blessed with good weather. I would like to share one of the comments we received about the weekend.
“I enjoyed Sylvia Frejd message and Keysha Taylor. In fact, everything was powerful – worship, messages, friendship teams, meal time, everything was just wonderful. I am very appreciative to Jannice for being open to the Spirit and having this event, and the instructions and blessings we all received. Thank you! Thank you, Jannice!”
I hope you will be able to attend our upcoming conference in Ontario, California, the weekend of August 30 – September 1, 2019. Our focus will be a continuation of our 2018 conference theme about “Loving, Living, and Finishing Well.” I am happy to have Sylvia share with us again.
Our Scripture passage comes from Ephesians 3:16-19 (TLB): “And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts, living within you as you trust in him.May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love; and may you be able to feel and understand how long, how wide, how deep, and how high his love really is and to experience this love for yourselves….And so at last you will be filled up with God himself.”
My goals for the C & B Ministry are to continue to provide a safe place for you to come, have a break from your busy lives, enjoy fellowship with friends, and listen to speakers who can inspire and encourage us with God’s help. Mother Teresa was right when she said, “The hunger for love is more difficult to remove than the hunger for bread.”
