Thank you all for the wonderful comments I received about our theme last year: Why Talk to God. Many of you mentioned that you have set up your own personal “War Room.” I am glad the conference was helpful in keeping us focused on the power of prayer.
Here are a few comments we received from the survey:
“Wake me up! Wake me up! These words keep coming back to me from the movie and I feel like they sum up what I feel for the weekend’s impact.”
“Friendship teams give us a time to connect on a personal level and share problems and possible solutions.”
“My friendship team was awesome with discussions, plenty of laughter and sharing.”
“I loved Jeanne Moore’s session about checking your tires before you leave home to avoid a bumpy ride.”
Jeanne Moore’s session was very helpful and fit right in with the theme as well. We loved having her and thanks again to Charlesetta Willis for telling us about her.
We are looking forward to the upcoming conference in March 2017. The theme this year will be: Seeking from the Lord. We all need to ask, listen, and wait on Him. God tells us in Proverbs 8:17 (ESV), “I love those who love me and those who seek me diligently, find me.”
Our guest presenter this year in Kentucky will be Marilyn Hontz. The last time Marilyn spoke to us there was in 2007. She spoke in California in September 2016 and was a blessing to all of us. Marilyn is the author of several books including Listening for God and Shame Lifter. She has also shared in pastoral ministry with her husband Paul for 43 years. I know you will be blessed by her session and love for the Lord.
Be sure to mark the following dates:
Lexington, KY, March 17-19, 2017
Ontario, CA, September 1-4, 2017

I hope you will be able to attend one of the upcoming conferences. It’s great to have a weekend where we can take a break and recharge our spiritual batteries. Saturday night we will have the Elephant Game again which has become very popular – lots of fun and lots of laughter!
Thank you for your prayers for me and the Connecting and Bonding Ministry. I pray for you and hope you all are well.
Love and blessings!
