Dear Sisters in the Service of Christ,
Our 2014 Connecting and Bonding (C & B) conferences were such a blessing – filled with spiritual insights and lovely memories.
At our L.A. conference we paid tribute to Kathleen Hart, celebrating her 80th birthday and 17th year as a mentor to C & B. We called it: 80/17. Kathleen was surprised and moved by the testimonies of ladies sharing how she had impacted their lives. Her support, even in the midst of our doctrinal changes, encouraged and inspired us. She adopted us as her “darlings” and we have benefitted greatly from her godly wisdom and love.
In the past 17 years I have seen so much growth in our ladies. Many now have their own ministries as well as continuing to help their husbands serve congregations.
As we prepare for the 2015 conference in Lexington our theme comes from Deuteronomy 33:25 – “As Your Days, So Shall Be Your Strength.” No matter how rough our days might be, God is always with us.
I am excited about what God has put on my heart for C & B this year. We are hoping to have several of our Grace Communion International (GCI) ladies speak to us at this conference. I’ll keep you updated as plans come together.
I want to sincerely thank Marilyn Tallison, Jonnie Perry, and Michele Tiller who have been our wonderful worship team. So they can have a short break, we have asked Keysha Taylor from Florida to be our worship leader this year. I know you’ll enjoy Keysha. In addition to being a pastor’s wife, she is a gifted musician and singer.
I hope you are looking forward to the 2015 conferences as much as I am. Please mark your calendars with these dates:
